Alpha G3 can be installed on grid and off grid.
When on the grid all your power is coming from solar and battery and the grid is only used if more energy is required.
When installed off-grid or turned to off-grid mode, all your power will be coming from solar and battery only.
If extra energy is required you can run a generator to charge the batteries and supply the extra power load.
A generator is an optional extra if on-grid.
A generator is essential if you are choosing to be off-grid.
The G3 inverter has a maximum peak of 7.5kW for 30 seconds. If more inverter capacity is required, two G3 inverters can be paralleled together to work as one. This would give a 10kW inverter with a peak of 15kW
